Dr. Aaron R. Jackson

A native of North Carolina, Aaron has served several churches across central and eastern North Carolina. He joined the Christ Baptist staff in September 2008.  As the Minister of Music and Worship, he oversees a comprehensive music ministry which includes both choral and instrumental ensembles.  He also serves as an adjunct professor of music at Campbell University.

In addition to ministry and teaching responsibilities, Aaron appears regularly as a guest conductor and maintains an active schedule as a local and regional choral clinician and adjudicator. He also holds leadership roles in both North Carolina American Choral Directors Association (Repertoire and Standards Chair for Community Choirs) and in Southern Division ACDA (Exhibits Chair).

Aaron holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Church Music degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts from Campbell University.

Aaron,  his wife Laura, and daughter Julia reside in Raleigh.
