Upper Room Prayer    Boiler Room Prayer    Cottage Prayer    Wednesday Prayer
Do you long to be a part of a praying church in
which the leaders and all aspects of life are
covered in prayer? Christ Baptist Church was
brought into being after several years of prayer,
and now we continue to pray remembering
Jesus' words in Luke 19:46, "It is written,
My house is a house of prayer."

UPPER ROOM PRAYER
The "Upper Room" is central to the prayer ministry of Christ Baptist Church, where intercessors are committed to pray for one hour each week, at designated times, for specific requests. These requests come into the Upper Room either by prayer cards or by telephone where they are faithfully lifted up to our Heavenly Father. All prayer needs are kept confidential. The Prayer Suite is open for “Heart Preparation” and “Prayer” during Church office hours each week day from nine until five o’clock. Our telephone ministry can be reached at any time by calling (919) 573-5454 (ext. 242) . The Upper Room principle is that as we seek Him, God blesses our efforts in such a way that God alone will be glorified. We invite you to join in this privilege and joy of praying for the needs of others and to hear how He answers. To learn more about “Upper Room” prayer opportunities and training, call Peggy Rose (870-7685) or Jerry & Rita Anderson (772-3975).
BOILER ROOM PRAYER
"Boiler Room" prayer is a time of corporate prayer on Sunday
mornings, designed specifically to pray for the ministries
of the church while they are being held. This aspect of our
prayer ministry is open to anyone who wishes to participate.
The "Boiler Room" is named for and patterned after the
ministry established by Charles Spurgeon in the latter half
of the 19th century at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, London,
where members gathered in the boiler room of the church,
to pray for church services while they were in progress.
Our Boiler Room ministry takes place each Sunday at 8:15 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 10:30 a.m., using prayer guides that help us pray for every facet of our worship services and Sunday School. The schedule is flexible, with most of those who participate praying once a month. Please join us as we pray and eagerly anticipate God's hand at work during the worship and Sunday School ministries at Christ Baptist Church. For more information about this unique prayer opportunity, call Bruce Boliek (848-8312) or Jerry & Rita Anderson (772-3975).
