Prison Ministry

North Carolina Correctional Center for Women (NCCIW)

Christ Baptist Church is carrying out the mission of the church described in Matthew 25:31-36 in our ministry to prisoners at NCCIW.  Our primary focus is the weekly Bible study.  We offer a monthly Sunday School program and partner with other churches in providing a monthly Sunday afternoon worship service.  Our choir presents their musical programs for Christmas and Easter.  Periodically, we hold a clothing drive for the prison clothing closet.   Through the multiple ways we share God’s Word, we are proclaiming freedom to the criminal through Christ.  (Isaiah 1:1)

Our purpose is to reach children whom no one else is reaching with the Gospel.
We strive to build up these children through faithful and systematic teachings
of God’s Word and to encourage them in daily devotions, witnessing for the
Lord, attending church regularly and having an active interest in missions.
CEF continues to increase its ministry to the 1.2 million children in North
Carolina of whom 80% are unchurched.
