PRESCHOOL
We love your children and desire to teach them the truths about God
in our preschool area, called Creation Station. Your children are
greeted at the Preschool Registration Desk by one of our volunteers.
All helpers and leaders have completed a background check and are
committed to the safety of your child. You will be provided a security
tag to present when you pick up your child. Parents of bed babies and
other infants will receive a pager to carry while on the church grounds
in case of an emergency or a question arises about your child’s care.
CHILDREN
We welcome your child as a part of the Kingdom Kids, our Sunday School program for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Classes are age-specific so your child will receive a Bible lesson, crafts, and music geared for him or her. A "transitions" class for sixth graders allows these children an additional year of special activities before joining Middle School students. Our teachers are screened with a background check, and are committed to interacting with your child in a godly, loving fashion while incorporating the love and knowledge of God in each classroom.

A children's choir (Holy Notes) for 6-12 year olds meets each Wednesday at 6:20 p.m., under the direction of Missy Lowe. Join us as we work and worship together to praise the Lord through music, games and fun.

AWANA
During the school year on Sunday evenings from 5:15 – 7:00 p.m., children who are 3 years old through 6th grade can participate in a full AWANA program, directed by Commander Alex Sossaman. Children study and memorize Bible verses, and enjoy many fun games and activities, including a rewards “store”. Children learn that Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed, taken from the Bible’s admonition to become approved servants of Christ through the Word (2 Timothy 3:17). Singing, crafts, and excitement are all a part of the Sunday evening AWANA program at Christ Baptist Church.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
During the 10:30 a.m. worship service, children in first through fourth grade attend a special service geared for them. The Children’s Worship program is overseen by Tillie Turlington, and each week the children have the opportunity to learn to worship in an age-appropriate setting by singing hymns and praise songs, memorizing Scripture, and hearing testimonies of how God is working in the lives of His people. Also included are Bible stories, praying for one another and learning about prayer, and being taught spiritual truths through object lessons that can be easily remembered.
YOUTH
Parents and a youth council work closely together to plan retreats, youth worship, discipleship weekends, and fun activities. Each is prayed over and structured to implant and energize a life of righteousness in students.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle school students, seventh and eighth grade, enjoy their own Sunday School classes, with specific events geared for them throughout the year. They enjoy fellowship activities in homes, including Bible studies.
HIGH SCHOOL
Your teen can experience the richness of friendships as he or she seeks to learn more about how God has created him or her: in His image! Sunday School classes are led by men and women who earnestly desire to pass on the truths and life lessons that the Scriptures present. High school teens have been on ski trips, retreats, and participated in discipleship weekends. They have presented a Live Nativity at Christmas, and enjoy a special time of youth worship (Slice of Life) on Sunday evenings geared just for youth.
